In a generic packaging marketplace such as Canada where government regulators aim to diminish the selection of premium cigar brands available, it’s always gratifying to see the return of an iconic name. Names like Villiger.
With an agreement solidified shortly after PCA 2025 in New Orleans, Canadian distributor Tabac Arsenal will distribute Villiger to the Canadian marketplace, marking the return of Villiger to Canada where it has been absent since early 2021. Having recently established new warehousing in the province of Alberta, Tabac Arsenal provide effective Canada-wide coverage with current warehousing in Alberta, Ontario, British Columbia and Quebec.
“We’re honored to play a key role in bringing this iconic brand of utmost quality to Canadians and to give it the representation and coverage it deserves throughout our marketplace” says, Tabac Arsenal CEO Kumail Dalwalla, who inked the distribution deal with Villiger President Rene Castaneda.
Among the selection slated to appear on Canadian shelves is the Villiger 1888 Nicaragua, which was launched at InterTabac and features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper on top of a Nicaraguan binder and a unique mix of Nicaraguan and American (Pennsylvanian) fillers.
