Augusto Cigars Celebrated 25 Years

To the settings of one of the heaviest rains eastern Norway has seen in later years, which says a lot, cigar importer and retailer Augusto Cigars celebrated its 25th anniversary on August 25 (of course). The 64 guests were treated to slow grilled pork neck and four cigars; Brick House Double Connecticut Robusto, Brick House Toro Maduro and Perla del Mar Corojo Corona Gorda from JC Newman and Cosecha 149 Robusto from Plasencia Cigars.

“One of the guests was Aldo Puncioni of the JC Newman Cigar Company,” André Veiby, manager at Augusto Cigars, says. “He gave a talk about JC Newman and told his wonderful stories, like only Aldo can. Much to the delight of the guests.”

One of the big highlights of the evening was the raffle, with prizes from Xikar, Adorini, Passatore, Glenfiddich, JC Newman and Crowned Heads.

“The community around Augusto has always been important and this evening we strengthened that,” Veiby says. “Despite strict rules from the government severely limiting our ability to share information, this became the largest cigar event in Oslo and further strengthened the cigar environment in Norway.”

He concludes by saying Augusto will continue to offer Norwegians premium cigars, despite increasing opposition from the authorities.

“Sales have never been better for Augusto Cigars. The community is stronger than ever and the Norwegian market is looking for more cigars. We will be there for cigar lovers of Norway.”
