Savile Noir: Eliminating Lingering Cigar Smoke From Garments

Identifying that one of the biggest issues cigar lovers face at the end of a cigar is the smell of smoke on clothing, Malaysian-born Australian Shane Wee set about to identify a natural way to not just mask, but eliminate, a cigar’s lingering aroma from clothing.

“Because cigar smoke is so dense, it gets in your clothes, your hair, and it sticks. Especially for women who may have just done their hair,” said Shane.

With the product removing cigar smoke from garments, Shane drew inspiration from Savile Row in the naming of Savile Noir, and after six months of trials, Savile Noir was launched at Western Australia’s inaugural Festival of the Leaf.

“Savile Noir eats into the smoke enzymes, enabling people to then go to family, business, and social events confidently after a cigar,” said Shane. “Importantly, it is not a perfume. A perfume masks scents, but the enzymes in Savile Noir actually dig into the molecules of the smoke to disperse it.”

Savile Noir’s specialised enzymes target smoke-related residues, helping break down the organic compounds left behind by cigar smoke. The formulation’s ingredients capture and binds odour molecules, preventing unwanted smoke aromas from lingering in fabric, and a premium blend of odour-neutralising ingredients removes malodours rather than masking them with heavy fragrances, leaving garments fresh.

“Savile Noir won’t stain and is safe to spray on clothes and can come into contact with skin and hair safely.  A light fresh scent was added to give users an understanding the spray is actually working, with the enzymes taking about a minute after spraying  to start working.
