1. Who we are

Cigar Journal is published online by Select Media GmbH, Wiener Strasse 134, 3400 Klosterneuburg, Austria (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at office@cigarjournal.com. Further details are in our imprint.

2. Adults only

This website is about tobacco products and is intended only for adults of legal smoking age in their country. By confirming your age when you enter the site, you declare that you meet this requirement. Nothing on this website is an offer to sell tobacco products or an invitation to start smoking. Smoking is harmful to your health.

3. Our content and your use of it

All content on this website, including articles, photographs, videos, graphics, ratings, scores, award lists, magazine covers, logos and the selection and arrangement of this material, is protected by copyright, trademark and database rights. It belongs to us or to the authors, photographers and partners who licensed it to us.

You are welcome to:

• read the website for your personal, non-commercial use;
• share links to our pages;
• quote short passages, or cite a rating or award, with clear attribution to Cigar Journal and a link to the page it comes from.

Without our prior written permission you may not:

4. Crawlers, bots and data mining

• identify themselves honestly (no disguised or rotating identities);

• never try to get around access controls, rate limits or other technical measures.

It is not permitted to:

• scrape or download the website or its archive in bulk, or systematically extract its ratings, reviews or other data, except as described above;
• collect personal data, such as the names or e-mail addresses of our staff, from the website;

We reserve our rights to text and data mining under Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and the national laws implementing it. Links to other websites are provided for your convenience; we have no control over their content, which is the responsibility of their operators. 11. Applicable law and courts

These terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If you use the website as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live. For disputes with businesses, the courts competent for Klosterneuburg, Austria, have jurisdiction.

If any provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
