A historic milestone was achieved as Club Mareva, international chain of cigar clubs and renowned global network of cigar enthusiasts, with the brand new -most luxurious 5 star hotel in Sarajevo – Apeiro Hotel unveiled the first-ever, historical cigar lounge in Sarajevo and whole Bosnia and Herzegovina, marking a new chapter in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s cultural and luxury landscape.
This groundbreaking collaboration puts Sarajevo and BiH on the global cigar map for the first time, with Mareva Apeiro Cigar Club creating a space that celebrates the art and lifestyle of premium cigars in the heart of the city. The soft opening event was a resounding success, attended by Club Mareva members who traveled from abroad to witness this historic moment, alongside distinguished guests and dignitaries.
The evening began with a chic cocktail reception in Apeiro Hotel’s urban-style New York restaurant and bar, followed by a sumptuous fine dining gala in Sarajevo’s first luxury fine dining restaurant, also housed within the Apeiro Hotel. The pinnacle of the event was the official ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Mareva Apeiro Cigar Club, marking the lounge’s formal inauguration.
Amra Hodžić, Director of Apeiro Hotel, and Marko Bilić, founder of Club Mareva, performed the ribbon-cutting honors, accompanied by Lučo Jurica, the club’s “best man,” who presented the club with a state-of-the-art Hulecos humidification device. This gift underscores the club’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of cigar quality and service.
The highlight of the evening was the ceremonial cutting of the first official cigar, presented by the legendary Christian Eiroa, a globally celebrated figure in the cigar industry. Eiroa extended his congratulations to Club Mareva and prepared cigars alongside Marko Bilić for the guests, adding a special touch to the occasion.
