Summer 2014
The 2014 summer issue contained a wide variety of topics: Humidor expert Marc André dealt with one of the passionado’s most important tools, hygrometers and their accuracy. We made a first-hand visit to the backrooms of Havana to report on the black market in Cuban cigars, and travelled to the Dominican Republic, where the CFCF (Cigar Family Charitable Foundation) founded by the cigar families Fuente and Newman is changing the life of the local community.
Our cover story was dedicated to Drew Estate, the rise of Jonathan Drews’ company from a kiosk to a global cigar business, and the designation of Willy Herrera as the Nicaraguan manufacturer’s first master blender.
