Illusione Announces Four New Releases

Dion Giolito has been a busy man of late. The Illusione founder and owner used the 2025 PCA Show to introduce the first Epernay line extension, Tuonela; the second of Group of Five and OneOff cigars; and the first tubos in Illusione history with the launch of Original Documents Corojo and Habano tubos.

Epernay Tuonela combines Criollo and Corojo tobaccos and a San Andres wrapper to produce cigars with floral notes and a creamy finish. Made at Raices Cubanas in Danli, Honduras, Epernay Tuonela are complex and decadent and made from tobaccos that Giolito personally selected. Packaged in 25-count boxes, Epernay Tuonela will launch in May 2025 with four sizes: Le Ferme (5 ¼ x 48), Le Taureau (5 ½ x 56), Le Grande (6 x 46) and Le Monde (6 ¼ x 52). The company currently lists MSRPs ranging between $10.60-$13.10, though with the uncertainty of international trade and potential tariffs, prices may change.

Illusione introduced the first Group of Five at the 2024 PCA Show. This year, it added a second, the SE (6 x 56). Packaged in a beautiful teal foil and 15-count boxes, the Group of Five SE is made from three year aged tobaccos in Nicaragua at the Aganorsa Leaf factory. The blend details are unavailable but the company describes the cigar as featuring mild spice, dried fruits and being unctuous. MSPR is slated to be $18.

Like Group of Five, OneOff Black & Tan was introduced in 2024 and this year it’s getting its second size, a Toro (6 x 52).  While the blend is undisclosed, Illusione shares that the tobaccos come from a unique seed grown at Aganorsa’s Nicaraguan farms. Giolito liked the tobacco so much that he set aside 25 bales of the Seco fourth and fifth primings to age for three years before producing the cigars. The result? Cigars that offer sweet caramel notes with an exotic spice. Packaged in 10-count boxes, OneOff Black & Tan Robusto will sell for $16.

Finally, Illusione is getting its first Tubos—for the Original Documents Habano and Original Documents Corojo 6 x 50 cigars—which will debut in July. Packaged in 15-count boxes, the Original Documents Tubos will both retail at $13.95.
