Dictador Cigars to reveal new sizes and new packaging at IPCPR

After the successful US launch of Dictador cigars at IPCPR 2015, Dictador will be releasing four new sizes and new packaging at this year’s IPCPR. “We have made some great inroads to the US market over the last 12 months and the consumers have expressed their love for all three of our blends,” said Jason Nelson, Global General Manager for Dictador Cigars. “Based on the feedback I have been receiving after attending numerous events around the country over the past 12 months, we made the decision to expand our sizes and revamp our packaging.”

New sizes in Dictador’s Pavo Real line include a 6×60 Gordo and a 6 ½ x52 Box Pressed Belicoso to complement the Half Corona and Grand Robusto released last year. The J Nelson 1974 line is also receiving two new sizes, being a 4 ½ x58 Gordito and a 6 ½ x52 Box Pressed Belicoso to complement the current Robusto and Toro Grande.

A complete revamp of the band to a more modern, aesthetically pleasing design, coupled with new shelf talkers in each box that allows the retailer and consumer to understand how each cigar was blended to be paired with other Dictador products. “We have a very unique concept at Dictador. We have taken the time to pair each blend, age the wrapper in our spirits barrels to impart the subtle flavours in each cigar, and create a real experience for the consumer to enjoy our cigars in a whole new light. We are investing considerably in the IPCPR this year with a massive 40’ x 20’ booth to really showcase our products and offer all attendees the opportunity to sample our cigars while pairing them with our rum, gin, and coffee,” said Nelson.
