El Artista Debuts Cimarron Line In Europe

Radhames “Ram” Rodriguez has debuted El Artista’s Cimarron at this year’s InterTabac.

The Cimmaron is named after a region in Colorado, USA which Ram visited with friends. The view, location, and camaraderie impressed him so much he thus named the cigar. The brand name has much history though, dating back to 1956 according to Rodriguez.

The Cimmaron Colorado features a Corojo Ecuador wrapper, Dominican negrito binder, and features a T13 variety in the filler developed by Rodriguez and the Dominican Tobacco Institute. “Negrito tobacco was popular in the 1950s but I was able to get some original seeds and adapt it to our current soil,” says Rodriguez.

The Cimarron maduro features a San Andrés wrapper over the aforementioned binder and filler.

The Cimarron line retails from EUR 7,20 for the Robusto up to EUR 7,60 for the Double Toro. Distribution has commenced to Germany, while distribution in Italy will commence in January 2019.
