CHC Serie E

At the PCA this year, Crowned Heads is unveiling its Crowned Heads Court Serie E.  CHC Serie E for short, is what the company says it an eruption of flavor and complexity. The blend was inspired by a rock guitar solo called Eruption by Eddie Van Halen.  The solo is on the Van Halen album released in February 1978.

Since the company is based in Nashville and loves music, it is no wonder they picked a solo for their inspiration.  The company says the solo is a metaphor for this cigar.  I guess they might want you to take a listen as you smoke it.  The notes from Crowned Heads the solo like the cigar is a dance between perfection and chaos.

The blend is a Habano Oscuro wrapper from Ecuador, Nicaraguan Jalapa binder and Nicaraguan fillers from Ometepe, Pueblo Nuevo and Jalapa made in the Tabacalera Pichardo factory in Esteli.

The CHC Serie E comes in 4 sizes, Hermoso No.2  6.125” x 48,  5150 which is 5.5” X 50, Petit Edmundo running 4.375” X 52 and Sublime at 6.5” X 54.

A 2-time Emmy award winner, Frank Seltzer is a former Correspondent for CNN, Voice of America and a producer for ABC News. He has been regularly covering the cigar industry for over 15 years.
