To celebrate ten years of Les Privatiers, the German company has released a celebratory cigar, produced by Barreda Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua. It’s called Diez Años and Thomas Geissler, head of sales at Les Privatiers, calls it a smooth smoke.
“It’s in the middle, not too much, and great as a morning smoke,” he says.
Les Privatiers now has two cigars made in Nicaragua. The other one is produced by Plasencia. They also have one made by Brun del Ré in Costa Rica and one by Rocky Patel in Honduras, but this is not just a cigar company. It’s also a bar in city of Timmendorfer Strand, by the Baltic Sea in the north of Germany.
“It has a cigar lounge and two terraces overlooking the street down below, and Timmendorfer Strand is a very expensive city so you can see people in Ferraris and Lamborghinis driving by,” he laughs.
