CSWC in Finland

This year’s qualification round of the Cigar Smoking World Championship in Finland was bigger than ever. Competitors from all over the country showed up at the well-known cigar club Kirjaclub in Helsinki to prove how slow they were. As always one smoker was slower than everyone else, and it wasn’t his first time. Last year former Finnish champion Paul Kaste had to concede to Niko E. Sarri, but this year Kaste was back on the throne. With 1 hour 40 minutes and 20 seconds as the winning time he will be representing Finland in the grand final in Split later this year.

“Paul is a true champion of the CSWC, and it’s great to see him back on top,” founder Marko Bilic says.

It was a tight race though. Kaste had to fight for his crown as runner-up Matti Vesala came in at 1 hour 38 minutes and 6 seconds. Third place went to Mikael Aminoff.

 1.     Paul Kaste 1:40.20
2.     Matti Vesala 1:38:06
3.     MIkael Aminoff 1:07:52
