“Every great cigar tells a story,” Philip G. Wynne is convinced. “With the launch of Octopussy 2024, we are continuing our tradition of presenting rare collector’s editions that combine craftsmanship, history, and exclusivity.”
A tradition that lives on
The Octopussy line was launched in 2012 with Pussy Galore, a torpedo wrapped in an oily Sumatra leaf from Ecuador. More than a decade later, Octopussy 2024 continues this legacy with two iterations, each in the Cañonazo format (152 x 20.6 | 6 x 52). These exceptional cigars are “meant to be enjoyed, remembered, and collected,” Wynne proudly states.
Two different wrappers, two worlds of experience
• Coral Red: wrapped in a Rosado Habano 2000 from Ecuador, it offers a nuanced, medium-strength cigar experience with complex aromatics.
• Sepia Maduro: wrapped in a dark Negrito San Andrés from Mexico, it conveys boldness of flavor paired with finely chiseled elegance.
At the heart of both blends are filler tobaccos aged for over seven years from old Cuban seeds grown in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador. Each leaf has been carefully selected by Wynne to bring harmony, balance, and complexity to the cigars.
A touch of luxury combined with traditional craftsmanship
Octopussy 2024 is presented in specially crafted carbon fibre humidors, whose elegantly cool, modern design resembles a work of art. The box also serves as a tabletop humidor, underlining Felipe Gregorio’s brand philosophy that luxury should be functional, aesthetic, and timeless.
To round off the experience, each collector receives a set consisting of a cigar cutter and a lighter, also made of carbon fiber and engraved with the Octopussy emblem.
The collector’s edition is limited to 500 boxes of each blend worldwide, complete with the accompanying accessories.
“Cigars are not simply manufactured, they are composed like music or painted like art,” says Philip G. Wynne, explaining his vision behind Felipe Gregorio. “Octopussy is a celebration of that philosophy – a dance of aroma, taste, and heritage that lives on long after the last draw.”
