Havana Cellars Line Updates

Much like the decision to streamline Tatuaje brand offerings a few years ago, when Ambos Mundos, La Casita Criolla, La Riqueza and El Triunfador were put on hiatus, the company has decided to do the same with two more brands, L’Atelier Maduro and Identité as well as a few sizes of La Mission and L’Atelier.
While L’Atelier Maduro and Identité may appear again in the future, these two lines will no longer be produced as regular production.  L’Atelier Maduro has not been produced for over a year and is already out of stock, while existing stock of Identité will be available until it is depleted.

The La Mission brand started with three initial sizes, 1959 (4¾x52), 1989 (5x54) and 2009 (6½x56) and over time four other sizes were added.  Of the four later additions, only the 1999 (5x46) will remain in production and 1955(6¾x44), 1982 (6x52) and 2003 (6¼x48) will be retired. This move aligns the available La Mission sizes with the core L’Atelier line. Existing stock of these three retired sizes will be available until they are depleted.
Two specialty lanceros, LAT Lancero (7½x38) and Selection Spéciale 38 Special (7½x38) as well as the Selection Spéciale LAT Torpedo (6⅛x52) will be retired as well.  The two lanceros will most likely appear in another Tatuaje Lancero collection. Existing stock of these three retired sizes will be available until they are depleted.

These moves, while not permanent, will allow the company to concentrate on the core lines and sizes in the portfolio.

New L’Atelier Selection Spéciale Offerings

The L’Atelier line has harnessed great success in it’s original three sizes, LAT52 (4¾x52), LAT54 (5x54)  and LAT56 (6½x56) most notably with the LAT56 landing at number 12 on Cigar Aficionado’s Top25 list in 2013.

This fall, the company will also be releasing the original three sizes of L’Atelier, LAT52 (4¾x52), LAT54 (5x54)  and LAT56 (6½x56) in their Selection Spéciale offering, using the higher priming Sancti Spiritus wrapper.

The profile changes delivered by the darker Sancti Spiritus wrapper embark a richer and bolder flavor profile that accents the subtleties of the original core line.
