Fidel's Cigar Lounge

Fidel’s Cigar Lounge To Open at Palace Of The Golden Horses, Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia’s cigar scene is booming. Fidel’s Cigar Lounge at The Palace of the Golden Horses hotel in Seri Kembangan, one of four new cigar lounges welcoming cigar lovers in KL, will be unveiled on Saturday 22nd of June with the official opening of the hotel’s Truefitt & Hill barbershop.
Located next to the hotel’s Polo Lounge, access to the cigar venue is through double doors of the renowned British barber. It’s the perfect place to indulge in a haircut and shave then relax with a cigar while enjoying the view of the hotel’s gardens and water features.

The lounge is opulent to say the least, with nine very comfortable leather chesterfield lounges and armchairs ready to embrace you. When the day’s heat subsides, the venue’s balcony offers an outdoor setting to puff away and if the humidity doesn’t remind you that you’re in the tropics, mature palm trees swaying gently in the breeze surely will.
Should the mood take you, the lounge’s range of classical books provide a mix of light and heavy reading material, while history and political buffs will appreciate the long list of dignitaries who have stayed at the hotel including Fidel Castro in the 1990s.

We built the cigar lounge as it is a good fit with Truefitt & Hill, and links with Fidel Castro’s stay with us,” said Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, Founder of Country Heights Holdings Berhad. “We are trying to amplify the hotel’s history and tradition, and a cigar lounge linked to Fidel’s visit is a great story. We hope that people who love cigars enjoy our hotel’s services. Guests can enjoy a cigar before or after indulging in a Truefitt & Hill session.”

A range of Cuban cigars including Romeo y Julieta, Partagas, Montecristo and Bolivar share humidor space with non-Cuban cigars including Tabaquero by Hamlet and Roberto Duran.
