CSWC Thailand

After a two-year long break the Cigar Smoking World Championship in Thailand was up and running again. This time the organizers relocated from busy Bangkok to the famous vacation island of Phuket. Newcomers and veterans competed side by side and the outcome was a surprise for everyone.

“The two biggest surprises were undoubtedly two newcomers, Alexandre Meunier and Alex Lotz, CSWC founder Marko Bilic, says. “Meunier managed to stay focused and outperform everyone else until the very end, smoking for 1 hour and 20 minutes.”

Like last year, seasoned veteran Paul Poole came in second with Lotz right behind him.

“This demonstrates that CSWC can provide great excitement and great results even if you, as a newcomer, are competing in this slow smoking race with experienced veterans,” Bilic concludes.

Another surprise was the early exit of two time champion Mikael Vincet Petersson.

  • Alexander Meunier 1.20.02
  • Paul Poole 1.12.35
  • Alex Lotz 55.35
