31 participants tried their luck in reaching the final in Split this September when the Cigar Smoking World Championship came to Greece for the second time. The event was held at the picturesque South Club by the Voula seaside, south of Athens, and in the end all the names in the top 3 were new. Emerging victorious was Kortesis George, who kept his cigar burning for 1 hour 32 minutes and 28 seconds. Second place went to Alexandros Antoniou with a time of 1 hour 25 minutes and 35 seconds.
