A “Snowed In” Esteban Carreras Cigar Event in Toronto, Canada

On the same day that the city of Toronto declared an official “Major Snow Emergency” which saw an accumulation of up to 20 centimeters of snowfall, cigar lovers remained undeterred from visiting The Smokin’ Cigar for an event that showcased Nicaragua’s Esteban Carreras Cigars, as well as Masala Canadian Whisky.

Alongside The Smokin’ Cigar owner Trae Zammit, Esteban Carreras’ Sales Director Christopher Mey was on hand to talk about Esteban Carreras cigars, which are now finding their way to tobacconists’ shelves for the very first time in Canada via distribution from Tabac Arsenal.

Blended by former Cuban Minister of Agriculture, Gonzalo Puentes in Estelí, Nicaragua, Esteban Carreras was founded 18 years ago by American Craig Cunningham who met Puentes while in Nicaragua.

With snowfall continuing into the evening, attendees gravitated toward lighting up such Esteban Carreras cigars as the Mr. Brownstone and the Chupa Cabra Hellcat, which land toward the medium to full end of the flavor and strength spectrum respectively.

Masala Whisky, which is made from a blend of corn and rye with the unique infusion of cardamom and coriander, exhibited a spicy, botanical character that complimented the robust Chupa Cabra Hellcat nicely.
