With the Sapphire, Rocky Patel is bringing a highlight of his jewelry and precious metals line to the German market. Following the Gold Label and Emerald, this is now the third “jewel” from Rocky Patel. In Germany, the Rocky Patel Sapphire is distributed exclusively by Kohlhase & Söhne. The market launch is currently scheduled for November 2026.
With the packaging and the special band, Rocky has succeeded in building anticipation for the new Sapphire.
To develop the cigar, 127 blends were smoked, discarded, modified, and further refined. Over a period of about 18 months, what Rocky Patel ultimately accepted as the Sapphire took shape step by step. The filler tobaccos used were partly grown as early as 2014 and have now aged for six to seven years—or even longer.
What makes it special: Aside from the wrapper, the tobacco comes from Rocky Patel’s own plantations. Even the Honduran Jamastrán binder is his own tobacco. Rocky has owned the farm there for three years—and the Sapphire marks the first time his own Honduran tobacco has been used in one of his blends. The Sapphire is manufactured in Nicaragua, at Patel’s Tavicusa factory in Estelí.
