Although the Toraño family can boast a long tradition in the tobacco business, it was only in 1994 that the first cigars were produced that bore the name of the Toraño Family Cigar Company. We met Carlos and Charlie Toraño to talk about the refocussing of the company following the creation of its own brand, the family’s history in the tobacco business and the blending of tobaccos of different origins.
