Zaquiel Mayorga became Spain’s representative for the CSWC finale

Every slow smoking season there are always a few qualifiers that come down to margins of less than a minute, but it’s rare to see all of the top three names finishing within two minutes. That’s exactly what happened in Spain.

At the restaurant Casa Fuster Masía Sant Cugat outside Barcelona 40 people competed for the title of Spanish slow smoking champion and it was a tight race, to say the least. In the end it was a matter of seconds when Zaquiel Mayorga became Spain’s representative in the Cigar Smoking World Championship final in Split in September. At 1 hour 53 minutes and 52 seconds he was just two seconds ahead of Manuel Seco, and 1 minúte and 54 seconds ahead of Thorsten Ebers.

  1. Zaquiel Mayorga 1:53:52
  2. Manuel Seco 1:53:50
  3. Thorsten Ebers 1:51:58
