From 10–12 June, the Tallinn Cigar Club is hosting the fourth annual Tallinn Fine Spirits & Cigar Weekend, which will attract cigar aficionados from around the world. As part of the event, on 11 June the cigar slow smoking competition will take place, which will also be the official Nordic qualifying tournament for the cigar smoking world championships to be held in Croatia.
“The Tallinn Fine Spirits & Cigar Weekend has developed into one of the year’s major events for cigar fans, a time when entrepreneurial people from different parts of the world can come together to spend a celebratory and atmospheric weekend with good company and excellent cigars. Excitement will certainly be added by the slow cigar smoking championships, and since many strong competitors from both the USA and Russia have promised to attend, there’s a good chance that a new world slow cigar smoking record could be set in Estonia,” said Tallinn Cigar Club president Tullio Liblik.
On Friday, 10 June, there will be a mini-fair, where Tallinn Fine Spirits & Cigar Weekend partners will present their products and services, and all visitors will be entered into a draw to win one of a number of prizes.
There will be seminars on cigars, cigar culture, and other cigar-related topics on Saturday, 11 June. In the afternoon, the slow cigar smoking work championship qualification tournament will determine the best competitors from the men and women taking part, and these contestants will qualify for the cigar smoking world championships taking place in Croatia in September. For the first time, the competition cigar is the Macanudo Inspirado. The evening continues with the festive Vana Tallinn & Macanudo gala dinner.
Registration for Fine Spirits & Cigar Weekend events, which will take place in the glass hall of the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds, is open to everyone. For more information on the weekend’s schedule and to register, please visit the Fine Spirits & Cigar Weekend website, at cigarweekend.eu.
