Celebrate National Cigar Day with the launch of the Tampa Smokers, a limited-release cigar handcrafted in J.C. Newman’s historic El Reloj factory. This special release pays homage to Tampa’s rich baseball history and the legacy of the Tampa Smokers baseball team. Established in 1919 as a charter franchise of the Florida State League, the Tampa Smokers were a cornerstone of local baseball, playing their last game in 1954.
Join J.C. Newman Cigar Co. on Thursday, February 27, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Tampa Baseball Museum, located in the childhood home of Tampa’s legendary ballplayer, Al Lopez. Explore the museum’s exhibits and relive the golden age of Tampa baseball as you enjoy a modern cigar inspired by a bygone era.
