Maya Selva, owner of Flor de Selva, Villa Zamorano, and Cumpay cigar brands recently toured South-East Asia, visiting Vietnam and Hong Kong.
At Saigon’s Rex Hotel, Maya Selva Cigars and distributor Cigraal officially inaugurated the Havana Cigar Club lounge with owner Mr An Tran. Tran also operates multi-venue retailer and distribution company ‘Humidor’ in Vietnam.
Over two nights, guests enjoyed Villa Zamorano cigars and were mesmerised by cigar rollers from Fabrica San Judas Tadeo, Maya Selva’s Honduran cigar factory dedicated solely to Villa Zamorano cigars. Siblings Yolanda Isabel Irias and Juan de la Cruz Irias have been rolling cigars at the factory since 2003 and 2005 respectively.
“We are thrilled to be increasing our cooperation with Humidor and Vinataba,” said Eric Piras, owner of cigar distributor Cigraal which distributes Maya Selva’s cigars in the Asia-Pacific region. “The future is bright for cigars in Vietnam and we feel the market is vibrant.”
Maya Selva was then center-stage at two intimate events in Hong Kong; one at Honi Honi Rum bar and the other on the rooftop of the W Hotel. Guests, including an increasing number of ladies, enjoyed Flor de Selva, Villa Zamorano and Cumpay cigars.
