To mark the Chinese New Year, Maya Selva Cigars continues its series of special editions and presents the Flor de Selva Año del Caballo, a new limited-edition cigar. As the German importer of the brand, M. K. & Söhne is launching this exclusive edition in the German specialist retail market in time for the Chinese New Year.
Since 2018, Maya Selva Cigars has dedicated a special cigar each year to the Chinese zodiac. The Año del Caballo – the Year of the Horse – symbolises energy, dynamism, and endurance.
The Flor de Selva Año del Caballo is crafted in the Double Corona format. A wrapper and binder from Honduras’ Jamastrán Valley enclose a filler blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos.
The cigar band in red and gold reflects the traditional colours of the Chinese New Year, combined with Maya Selva’s distinctive visual language. In both cultures, animals play a central spiritual role as symbols of character, protection, and one’s path in life.
The 10-count box, likewise designed in red and gold, underscores the nature of this limited edition.
