PCA Joins Costa Rica’s Cigar Festival as Co-Organizing Partner

The Premium Cigar Association (PCA) is pleased to announce its participation as Co-Organizing Partner of the Puro Vida Cigar Festival 2026, taking place November 21–22, 2026, in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica occupies a distinctive place within the global premium cigar landscape, with an artisanal, boutique-oriented industry built around craftsmanship, specialized production, and an increasingly recognized tobacco-growing and cigar-making tradition.

PCA members, industry stakeholders, and adult passionados from the United States and around the world are invited to join the Association in Costa Rica for an immersive celebration of premium cigars, tobacco, craftsmanship, and Costa Rican culture. With convenient international travel access, particularly from the United States, the festival offers an opportunity to experience an important premium cigar origin firsthand while building relationships with the brands, producers and people helping shape its future.

“As the world’s leading market for premium cigars, it is important for PCA to engage directly with our manufacturing partners. We’ve been doing so in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Honduras for a few years now, and I am extremely proud for PCA to take this step by supporting our friends in Costa Rica,” said Joshua Habursky, CEO of the Premium Cigar Association. “As co-organizing partner, we look forward to welcoming PCA members and aficionados to experience this industry firsthand, meet the people behind it and support its continued development. International engagement is about building bridges across our industry, and there is no better way to do that than by being present, learning together and enjoying the culture and hospitality of a remarkable cigar-producing country.”

The two-day program will offer attendees a curated journey through Costa Rica’s premium cigar ecosystem and broader culture. Festival experiences will include visits connected to mountain-grown tobacco farms and cigar factories, providing guests with a closer understanding of the agricultural and human craftsmanship behind the finished cigar. The program will also showcase internationally renowned Costa Rican products including specialty coffee and fine chocolate, alongside social events celebrating the country’s warm hospitality, cuisine and pura vida spirit.

Education will be an important component of the festival, with programming and certification opportunities powered by The Cigar Academy by PCA, complementing the field experience with structured education on tobacco, cigar production, appreciation and premium cigar culture.

“For Costa Rica, the Puro Vida Cigar Festival is about much more than an event; it is an opportunity to present our cigar industry, our tobacco, our producers, our craftsmanship and country to the world,” said Julio León Hernández, organizer of the Puro Vida Cigar Festival. “Having the Premium Cigar Association as our Co-Organizing Partner gives this effort an extraordinary international dimension and connects Costa Rica directly with the broader global premium cigar community. We are proud to welcome PCA members and aficionados to our country and invite them to discover what makes Costa Rican cigars, and Costa Rican hospitality, so special.

PCA members and adult cigar enthusiasts are encouraged to register early.
