CSWC in Italy

This year’s national champion of Italy is a well-known one in the world of slow smoking, but it was a dramatic competition with many lead changes between last year’s runner-up and former national champion Federico Serilli, Vincenzo Esposito and Cigar Smoking World Championship ambassador Gino Iannillo before it was settled. Italian record holder Marian Nedelea was also in the run, but he lost his cigar early due to construction problems. In the end, after an exciting battle, Serilli and Esposito had to admit defeat as Iannillo broke his personal record and took home the title at 1 hour and 49 minutes.

“The Italian final was an amazing event with unforgettable memories for all participants,” founder Marko Bilic says. “Next year, they plan to involve more clubs in the competition, with five to ten pre-qualifying rounds and a final race to be held in Firenze in June.”
