Ernesto Pérez Carrillo has been one of the most notable absences at InterTabac 2025, an event that consistently misses the presence of the big names of the tobacco industry. On behalf of Casa Carrillo, Jorge Fernández Maique, director of the factory, presented the two Encore limited editions that are already reaching international markets: Encore Única II and Encore Noir, both with carefully designed presentations and packed in ten-count boxes.
“We have a reserve of tobacco aged six to seven years, but we are managing it carefully for these editions,” explains Jorge Fernández Maique.
EP Carrillo Única II, in toro format (165 mm x 54), features Nicaraguan tobacco in the wrapper, binder, and filler, and also includes Dominican leaves. The new Única II follows in the footsteps of last year’s Únicos Limited Edition.
Regarding Encore Noir, it is notable that the cigars have a “vitola de galera”, named “Celestiales No. 2” (158 mm x 50), in the Cuban tradition, and a dark wrapper that, according to Fernández Maique, comes from a higher priming of the plant and was grown in Ecuador. The blend is completed with a Nicaraguan binder and a filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
This limited edition consists of just 2,500 boxes, produced by Casa Carrillo for worldwide distribution.
