Even though this lounge technically lies in the state of Wisconsin, chances are you will be driving from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area to reach it. St. Croix Cigar Company is located in the absolutely beautiful township of Hudson, Wisconsin. A quaint border town that offers great German culture in its restaurants and breweries, Hudson also gives us this treat of a cigar lounge that adds to the aura of coolness that is felt when in this charming little village.
Kaleb Cushing is the manager at this shop, and he keeps the place looking immaculate. The humidor is well stocked with some hard to find cigars in the Minnesota/Wisconsin area. There is a lounge up front and more seating in the back for two separate conversational hot spots. There is also an incredibly cool patio out back that overlooks The St. Croix River that separates The Badger State from The Land of 10,000 Lakes. Many a great cookout has happened out here in the summer or fall, and it has been rumored that also in these warmer months there have been all day parties that have happened here. Party for a while, go get some rest, come back for more!
So if you are travelling through Western Wisconsin, or if you are in the Eastern Minneapolis area, do yourself a favor and make your way down Highway 35 into the heart of Hudson and grab a fresh brew at one of the many breweries downtown. Then grab some of the best German food in the United States and cap things off with a great cigar at St. Croix! Of course you could always do it in reverse and grab a cigar with your coffee in the morning and then beer and grub, and of course you could even have a cigar at both ends of your day.
