Norwood Royal Cigars | Cigar Friendly, Chicago

Not too far from O’ Hare International Airport lies an absolute paradise for those lovers of the leaf that enjoy a great variety of wonderful cigars!  Norwood Royal Cigars sits right off of I-90 in the beautiful Norwood Park neighborhood of Chicago.  Not a lounge, but a wonderful, well-stocked store that has every cigar and cigar toy that one grown-up could ever ask for!  When you enter the store, you are greeted by the beautiful soul that is Vick Shah and you instantly understand why the store has such a warm and peaceful ambiance. 

The room in which you first walk into has all of the cigar supplies for which one could ask.  Humidors, lighters, ashtrays and the like are all here in bountiful numbers.  Also present in the entrance and on the windows outside is the salute to all those in service, especially the police and fire servicemen and women who put the great city of Chicago on their back and defend it everyday.  This is a sanctuary for them to find their center and grab a great smoke so they can go back to their families and find the calm in the storm.

The big ticket item here is the humidor.  Many places that I’ve lived throughout my life have not been as big as this humidor!  1,800 square feet of tobacco nirvana awaits those who enter its doors.  Every brand you can think of is well represented here!  From the larger brands to the smallest of boutiques, you can absolutely find something to please any palate!  Every brand that you may have read about or seen on a podcast or live show is in this humidor.  Fire up your GPS and leave a trail of bread crumbs from the entrance so you can find your way back out again.  Along the top of the humidor is a really cool tribute to great cigar smokers throughout time as well as some Chicago legends.  So say hi to Vick and friends such as Winston Churchhill, Michael Jordan and Mike Ditka when you are in the humidor, and make your cigar selections for the evening and pay respect to those that keep us safe.  From the soul to the palate, Norwood Royal Cigars hits on all cylinders.
