At this year’s Total Product Expo (TPE), RACHING presented the Amber Series Cigar Humidor, a concept-driven release that merges biomimetic design, luxury materials, and cutting-edge climate technology.
Drawing inspiration from Antoni Gaudí’s belief that “the straight line belongs to man, the curved one to God,” the Amber Series departs from conventional rectangular humidors. Instead, it embraces fluid, nature-inspired forms reminiscent of amber—an organic material that preserves time itself. The result is a humidor designed not only to store cigars, but to reflect the rhythm and flow of their aging process.
At the center of the design is a distinctive technical and symbolic feature: 11.66 grams of pure gold integrated into the control dial. This precise figure corresponds to the weight of a classic Robusto cigar at optimal 70% humidity, transforming every adjustment of temperature and humidity into a tactile, luxury experience—what RACHING describes as its “Golden Finger” concept.
The Amber Series introduces an industry-first Circle-style cigar aging system, replacing rigid internal structures with continuous curves that allow cigars to rest and mature more naturally. This philosophy extends to the interior, where a thermally curved cedar chamber eliminates traditional shelving in favor of a more organic, embracing layout. A smooth, rail-based system ensures effortless access.
Externally, the humidor combines Italian-inspired curved stainless steel with top-grain calf leather veneer, creating a balance between modern minimalism and artisanal warmth. A continuous 360° lighting system traces the silhouette of the cabinet, enhancing both visibility and presentation.
Technology plays a central role in the user experience. A smartphone-grade Retina TFT display provides high-definition monitoring of environmental conditions, while a two-finger distance fingerprint lock allows seamless, intuitive access.
One of the most notable innovations is RACHING’s proprietary “Glacial Living Water” humidification system, which cools water to near-freezing temperatures to reduce microbial growth and maintain a purified storage environment. This is complemented by a linear temperature and humidity control system using variable-frequency technology to ensure stable, silent, and precise climate management.
