Don Fernando Introduces La Condesa Line

Don Fernando came to this year’s InterTabac with an entirely new line. According to co-owner Silvana Bencomo Perez, La Condesa is a cigar which tells a story.

“It’s inspired by my own life and my career,” she says. “I put my passion in this blend. I made it, to show the world how much I love cigars.”

It’s a limited edition with a Habano 2000 wrapper, an Indonesian Sumatra binder, and fillers from Peru, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. The leaves are aged for almost five years, and the cigar is aged for two. It comes in two sizes. The Toro is called Temptation and the Robusto is called Enigma.

“I chose Temptation because I wanted to try to create a desire with the customers, and Enigma is about curiosity. I wanted create a connection between the cigar and the soul of the client,” says the co-owner.

Since graduating with an engineering degree in surveying in 2005, Simon Lundh has preferred to follow a profession in journalism. He stumbled upon the cigar world while working for a non-governmental organization in Estelí, Nicaragua, and is now mainly making a living writing about cigars, metal music, tattoos, and travel.
