The Foundation Cigar Company, founded by Nick Melillo, has been heavily focused on the North American market since its inception, but the time has come to take things a step further. „We’ve come to InterTabac,“ says Melillo, „to begin growing in international markets. We’ve already started with Schuster in Germany, but also in Italy and Switzerland.“
The idea is to promote its cigar brands, some of which, like Wise Man, already have significant recognition in the United States. To give its brands the necessary push in the European markets, Foundation Cigar Company has a new international sales director, George Frakes, who will lead the expansion from the United Kingdom.
