Cuban artist Elmer Castillo participated in this year’s InterTabac, where he, together with Arian Irsula and Andrey Quintana, showcased their respective artistic creations in a special collective exhibition.
During the event, Castillo presented the art book „Art and Habanos“, a project that brings together visual art and the rich heritage of Cuban cigars. The book received great interest by both cigar enthusiasts and art lovers alike.
„Art and Habanos“ traces the fascinating history of cigars from the arrival of Columbus in the Americas to the modern-day Habano. It combines historical insight with contemporary art, offering a unique visual journey through over 500 years of cigar culture.
With contributions from the artist and cigar experts, the book celebrates the craftsmanship, symbolism, and global legacy of Cuban cigars. Original works were on display that captured the spirit and elegance of Habanos.
Each chapter is richly illustrated, blending fine art with personal reflections from the artist or other experts.
