An Evening of Spoken Word, Poetry and Local History

Join J.C. Newman on Monday, March 30 for an evening of spoken word, poetry and local history, as the company commemorates the anniversary of the historic El Reloj Factory by J.C. Newman Cigar Co., which first opened its doors on March 31, 1910.

Monday, March 30 | 6:00PM – 7:30PM
Cigar Workers Park at J.C. Newman Cigar Co.
1530 E Columbus Dr, Tampa, FL 33605
Complimentary admission | All ages welcome

Held in Cigar Workers Park across the street from the historic factory, this free, all-ages event will feature local artists and poets reading original works inspired by Tampa, its cigar industry, El Reloj, and the tradition of the lectores—the voices that once filled cigar factories with literature and ideas. Cupcakes and refreshments will be provided.
