EGM Launches Empyrean Line

“It’s made from five-year-aged tobacco from the Cibao Valley in the Dominican Republic, and the name is taken from Greek mythology,” says CEO Ettore Gabriele Moraschinelli.

“The Empyrean was conceived as the highest heaven, beyond the sphere of the fixed stars. EGM Empyrean takes inspiration from this mythical vision, with three vitolas whose names echo this spiritual symbolism.”

The three vitolas in the Empyrean line are:

  • Heraldo – 130 x 55
  • Praxedes – 145 x 57
  • Paraiso – 170 x 52

“Empyrean is the finest expression of our craft, something we’ve been working on for nearly two years. It embodies everything we love about cigars.”

EGM has also introduced new grab ’n’ go packaging for its signature line, each box containing three cigars – either Robustos, Blecos, or Tiburones, packed in individual tubes.

“EGM is our best-selling product, and each pack holds three cigars. The tubes keep them in better condition, they’re easier to store and sell, and the box is visually attractive.”

Since graduating with an engineering degree in surveying in 2005, Simon Lundh has preferred to follow a profession in journalism. He stumbled upon the cigar world while working for a non-governmental organization in Estelí, Nicaragua, and is now mainly making a living writing about cigars, metal music, tattoos, and travel.
