America’s oldest whiskey brand has been relaunched and stands out with a great representative of the rye category. Milk chocolate, forest honey and herbal notes surge from the glass. On the palate, the herbal notes are there again, accompanied by a bitter sweetness and a touch of cloves.
Overall, this suggests more an aperitif for the early evening, but in combination with an Oliva G Perfecto, there is no objection to brunch, either. The cigar with its peanut notes and its slightly aromatic sweetness reinforces the sweetness of the spirit.
The last third produces magnificent aromas of gingerbread.
