The New H. Upmann 1844 Classic Release of 2021

Altadis U.S.A. will unveil its first H. Upmann national brand release of 2021 at this year’s Tobacco Plus Expo in Las Vegas May 12–14.

The H. Upmann 1844 Classic presents a medium-bodied cigar that features an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper over Honduran tobaccos.

Produced at La Flor de Copan in Honduras under the tutelage of Grupo de Maestros, the H. Upmann 1844 Classic is an addition to the H. Upmann 1844 heritage line of premium cigars, joining the H. Upmann 1844 Vintage Cameroon, 1844 Reserve, and the 1844 Añejo.

“The blend used for the 1844 Classic reflects elevated tradition and the heritage of the H. Upmann brand,” says Rafael Nodal, Head of Product Capability Tabacalera USA. “I am very proud of the passion and dedication of the Grupo de Maestros of La Flor de Copan, for crafting a blend that will satisfy seasoned cigar aficionados and those discovering the category alike.”

“The H. Upmann 1844 heritage line represents over 177 years in cigar expertise,” says Jennifer True, Senior Brand Manager Altadis U.S.A. “With the introduction of the 1844 Classic, the brand aims to hone its signature identity which is rooted in rich tradition and experienced by today’s enthusiasts through the nuances that each H.
