The Crowning Glory: Auchentoshan Three Wood

Distinctive sherry notes, strongly cooked apricot jam, subtle wood aromas, candied oranges; ethereal. The ideal partner is a Balmoral Royal Selection Anejo 18. Earthy, leathery, subtle coffee aromas and, at the same time, notes of spice cake; perfect.

auchentoshan three wood bottle smoky spirits

Distinctive sherry notes, strongly cooked apricot jam, subtle wood aromas, candied oranges; ethereal. Then, on the palate, fruit, burnt sugar, a balanced bitter sweetness, toasty with notes of Armagnac.

The ideal partner is a Balmoral Royal Selection Anejo 18. Earthy, leathery, subtle coffee aromas and, at the same time, notes of spice cake; perfect. The combination brings out the fruit of the whisky even more strongly, and a balanced sweetness nicely makes room for itself. The robusto develops wonderful notes of toffee, pared with a slightly peppery veil of spice.

The crowning glory after an opulent evening meal.
