Rare Macallan Exclusively Crafted for and Sold at Davidoff of Geneva Stores in Asia

Available exclusively at Davidoff of Geneva stores and lounges across Asia, the Macallan 1991 whisky is a single cask, cask strength (53.5%) expression aged for 25 years in a sherry butt cask and bottled in 2016.

This rare Macallan cask has been distilled and bottled by the very best in the world of whisky and reinforces Davidoff of Geneva’s position as purveyors of fine experiences and cigar pairings. Only 494 units are available, with each 700ml bottle is beautifully presented in a decanter and plush veneer box.

This expression of sherry-seasoned Macallan is a classic example of the distillers’ signature work, earning its reputation of their outstanding quality above all else. Only a thin cut of their stills was used to fill the sherry-seasoned casks, and only a very small percentage of their casks, like this one, were allowed to be matured into single-cask-bottling quality.

A classic and elegant Macallan flavour profile, sherry oak is present only subtlety and does not overwhelm the whisky. There is also a floral touch which and opens up to orange peel and toasted notes complement the finish. I’ve had a chance to taste this very special bottling and it paired magically with a Davidoff 702 series Special R.
The Macallan 25yo can be found in Davidoff of Geneva stores in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, China, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia.
