Davidoff Cigars Launches Year of the Sheep Limited Edition 2027

For 2027, that invitation takes its most poised shape yet: for the first time in the history of these editions, all three cigar formats are figurados, each in tribute to the curved shape of a sheep's horn.

The Limited Edition is presented in a ten-count box of dark-toned solid wood with a red outer box, an auspicious colour in Chinese culture. The design also incorporates purple, the Sheep's lucky colour. Inside, a wool-like fabric lines the panels, evoking the softness of a sheep's coat beneath an embossed Year of the Sheep pattern.

A removable cover with a see-through cut-out reveals the cigars beneath, finished with purple handles and golden accents, while a round icon inspired by a ball of wool, and by the full moon of Lunar New Year, marks each box. Every cigar carries a second band featuring purple accents.

This edition is limited to 17,500 boxes worldwide. A numbered collector's coin accompanies the Limited Edition, gathered in an elegant wooden Coin Collector's box offered as a gift with purchase, allowing aficionados to build their own collection year after year.

Year of the Sheep Flagship Exclusive 2027

For the customers of the Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 flagship stores, Davidoff introduces a shape found nowhere else in its current portfolio, and nowhere else within this year's collection. Sharing its blend with the piramides, the gran perfecto offers a more adventurous path to the same character: its form means wrapper and binder speak first, with the filler's depth arriving only later.

Presented in a box of 24 cigars echoing the Limited Edition’s design, this edition includes its own numbered coin for the Coin Collector’s box. Each gran perfecto also carries a second band with purple accents. Limited to 850 pieces worldwide, this edition is available exclusively in Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 flagship stores.

Year of the Sheep Masterpiece Humidor

The Year of the Sheep Masterpiece Humidor unites two artists in a single object. Chinese illustrator Jane Liu designed the artwork – purple for prosperity, clouds for calm, a sun for vitality – while French textile artist Clémentine Brandibas translated it into embroidery on silk satin, combining nué goldwork and Boulogne stitch in threads finer than a quarter of a millimetre, over more than one hundred hours and eleven types of thread per piece. Made by hand in France it is equipped with four Davidoff Slim Regulators that hold humidity steady between 70 and 72 %, so each of its 88 cigars stays in perfect condition. It is finished with a personalisation plate and is numbered to only 12 pieces worldwide.

Each of the 12 humidors holds 88 gran torpedo cigars, blended and rolled exclusively for this Humidor. They share the blend of the piramides and gran perfecto. Like the other two formats, each cigar wears a second band with purple accents, and 88 is considered the luckiest of numbers in Chinese culture.

Accessories for the ritual – ashtray and double blade cutter

Two accessories, each limited and sold individually, complete the collection for those who wish to mark the occasion beyond the cigar itself. The Year of the Sheep Porcelain Ashtray introduces an exclusively developed shape, with sculpted, horn-like edges that are inspired by a sheep's horn. It is finished with a gold-foiled, hand-applied Year of the Sheep pattern and Davidoff logo. Crafted in an atelier in Limoges each piece is numbered by hand and limited to 288 worldwide.

The Year of the Sheep Double Blade Cutter is finished in glossy gold with laser-engraved zodiac detailing and delivered in a red cowhide leather pouch. Sized generously for ring gauges up to 60, it suits every shape in the collection, and its integrated spring system locks the blades securely when not in use. Made in Germany from high-quality stainless steel, each cutter is laser-numbered and limited to 388 pieces worldwide.

From 19 November 2026*, the Davidoff Year of the Sheep Limited Edition cigars and accessories will be available at select Davidoff appointed merchants and flagship stores around the world.
