Opulent Aromas: Appleton Estate 21 Years

The flagship brand from the Appleton Estate range takes off immediately. Notes of preserved fruit, wood, candied fruit, roasted almonds and dry, exotic fruit stand for opulent aromas. On the palate, a tart sweetness dominates, combined with notes of well-boiled caramel custard, and a hint of coconut.

With a Balmoral Añejo XO Petit Robusto Flagtail with its gingerbread-like texture a very intense interplay develops. The aromas of the rum remain nicely; the bitter notes become more balanced, and a fruity sweetness progressively finds its voice. Tart gingerbread meets strong caramel custard.
