Complex Plum Brandy: Serbica Ramonda

This complex plum brandy from Serbia aged in a barrel is first class. Spicy on the nose, plum jam, some wood, preserved plums, dark chocolate – one sip later, and the aromas become even stronger and are complemented by the dried plums and distinctively ripe fruit.

Slightly spicy with a subtle sweetness. A Short Robusto by Perla del Mar goes well with it. During the ensuing tête-à-tête, the aromas of the distillate hold their ground nicely; the fruity sweetness increases and the silky veil of spice flatters the palate.
