Kuala Lumpur’s biggest whisky and spirits tasting event, WhiskyPLUS returns in 2019 and will feature a Cigar Corner for guests to discover more about the cigar world. Held over two sessions at the Pavilion Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday 15 June, a range of whiskies and other spirits from Malaysia’s top spirits importers, distributors, and wholesalers will be available.
Guests will enjoy unlimited tasting during their session, as well as opportunities to enjoy masterclasses, pop-up bars, a VIP Premier Tasting Room, and Collector’s Corner.
“Whether you’re a serious whisky connoisseur, a casual aficionado, or a total newbie looking to expand your whisky horizons, WhiskyPLUS will take your enjoyment and appreciation for the whiskies of the world to the next level,” said event organiser Chad Merchant of TEGMedia.
WhiskyPLUS’s Cigar Corner will feature a great selection of Cuban and non-Cuban cigars from Cigar Bar KL and Cigar Journal’s Asia-Pacific Editor Samuel Spurr will be present to guide enthusiasts through the intriguing world of premium cigars. Pavilion Hotel’s Whisky Cove lounge will provide an indulgent location in which to enjoy a cigar!

Tickets are available for either Standard or VIP entry for each of the two sessions. All ticketed guests will receive entry to the main tasting floor, with unlimited sampling of a range of blended and single malt whiskies from around the world, complemented by a few other premium spirits, as well. Guests will also receive a commemorative Glencairn-style whisky tasting glass with the WhiskyPLUS 2019 logo that is theirs to keep, along with complimentary F&B vouchers for restaurants at Pavilion Hotel and its sister Banyan Tree property, and a set meal box to enjoy with the whisky tasting. Guests selecting the VIP entry pass will receive additional privileges and goodies.
