Malaysia’s Premier Whisky Event Returns To Kuala Lumpur | Dec. 11

It’s finally back! One day. Two sessions. Unlimited sampling.

Following a pandemic hiatus of over two years, the fourth edition of Malaysia’s biggest and best whisky and spirits tasting event, WhiskyPLUS 2021 will be held at the prestigious Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur Managed by Banyan Tree on Saturday, December 11, 2021.

This single-day event will comprise two terrific sessions for eager attendees, with each session offering a wide range of whiskies and other spirits from many of Malaysia’s top spirits principals, importers, distributors, and wholesalers. Guests at WhiskyPLUS will enjoy unlimited tasting from dozens of different whisky and spirits brands and expressions in the 6,800 square foot main tasting room.

WhiskyPLUS will also feature an indulgent Cigar Discovery Corner in the main tasting room, hosted by Jay Walia. The Cigar Discovery Corner will feature an expertly curated selection of Cuban and non-Cuban hand-rolled cigars for enthusiasts to purchase, ranging from the affordable to the extravagant.

“I’m excited to again be hosting the Cigar Discovery Corner in 2021,” said Jay Walia. “The corner will be featuring an enticing array of cigars from Cuba, Nicaragua, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic curated by Cigar Bar.”

“WhiskyPLUS is THE event for Whisky and cigar lovers in Kuala Lumpur,” said Samuel Spurr, Cigar Journal’s Asia Pacific Editor. “As a brand participant in 2018 and 2019, I know from experience that WhiskyPLUS is the event you do not want to miss. Stop by the Cigar Discovery Corner and grab a copy of Cigar Journal and choose a cigar to enjoy with your favourite whiskies!”

With some 60 brands participating, including a record number of independent bottlings and some new-to-market expressions – and a special new limited bottling from Royal Salute making its Malaysian debut exclusively at WhiskyPLUS this year – you’re sure to find familiar labels alongside some new favourites.
