The global Whisky event Whisky Live comes to Thailand this week on Friday 31 January and Saturday 1 February at the Renaissance Hotel in Bangkok.
Whisky masterclasses throughout the two-day event will allow guests to take part in brand-led tastings and educational experiences. Guests looking for the ultimate luxury experience can head to the VIP tasting room which comes complete with an outdoor cigar terrace, for those who like to enjoy a cigar with their dram.
“Over two hundred whiskies will be available throughout the show for guests to taste and enjoy, with brand ambassadors and distillery personnel on hand to offer insight into how your favourite whiskies are created,” said Paul Lambrick, Executive Director Fah Mai Holdings and Platinum Cask which will be hosting Whisky Live in Bangkok.
Cigar Journal is a Whisky Live Thailand media partner, while Whisgars Tasting Room Phuket will be featured in the VIP room and making Cuban, Nicaraguan, Dominican Republic, and Honduran cigars available to guests.
“We are looking forward to trying new whiskies and other spirits and seeing how they pair with different cigars,” said Richard Valentine, owner of Whisgars Tasting Room Phuket. “On Saturday 1 February, in conjunction with Thailand Cigar Club, we will host a cigar lunch at the Intercontinental Hotel and it promises to be a great precursor to Day Two of Whisky Live.”
The show runs from 5pm to 11pm on both Friday 31 January and Saturday 1 February, with tickets starting at 2,000THB (Euro 60,00) per single-day ticket and 5,000THB (Euro 147,00) for a VIP weekend pass. Tickets are available online via Ticketmelon and tickets will also be available on the day from the show reception.
