The 5th Annual Riga Whisky Festival took place on the last weekend of May with over 500 whisky and cigar enthusiasts from all around the world participating in the event.
The first day started with a tasting party where 40 different brands presented over 80 different whiskies and whisky cocktails. The evening also included a cigar tasting sponsored by Arturo Fuente cigars and presented by Mr. Mahesh Ramnani and Mr. Joshua Meerapfel.
The second day included a rum tasting by Brugal and some cocktail snacks provided by Oak Lounge Riga cigar lounge. The main gala dinner of the evening was held at the Grand Palace ballroom and presented by Principle Cigars and Macallan Whisky. The participants got to enjoy a 5-course dinner paired with Macallan Triple Cask series 12YO, 15YO and 18 YO whiskies and Principle Accomplice series cigars. During the evening the charity raffle gathered over 3500 euros for the Ronald McDonald Foundation in Latvia. The main price of the raffle was a beautiful Cuervo y Sobrinos Prominente Classico watch kindly donated by the Cuervo y Sobrinos.
The final day of the festival included a champagne brunch on a beautiful rooftop terrace at Hotel Gutenberg in Riga allowing the festival guests to decompress before heading home.
