In the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Quesada Cigars, founded in 1974 in the Dominican Republic by Manuel Quesada, his daughters, Raquel and Patricia Quesada are bringing to the Intertabac show the commemorative cigar, of course, but, more important, they come with two good news. The first is the complete recovery of Manuel Quesada, after the health episode that he had with his colapse at Procigar last February. Manolo is in very good conditions, having a deserve rest in Madrid, Spain, to recover completely. The second good news is the return of Patricia Quesada to the structure of the company, in part caused by the definitive retirement of her father.
Both Raquel and Patricia Quesada agree that it is a privilege for them to have the possibility of celebrating their fiftieth anniversary together. They are going to share it with the launch of their limited edition 50th anniversary. It is a cigar in a pressed toro format of 158 mm x 56, with a Habano Ecuador wrapper and a binder and tropa from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. According to Raquel Quesada, “it is a cigar that we wanted to keep at a medium intensity, but with a lot of flavour and a lot of balance”.
It is already starting to be distributed in international markets. There are 1,500 10-count boxes for all of Europe that will start to arrive in stores throughout the following month. A commemorative cigar for the 50th anniversary of the company that bears the name of a great gentleman of tobacco, Manuel Quesada.
