The Traveler Cigars Honors Maradona

For ten years, Emiliano Lagos at The Traveler Cigars, worked with the famous football player Diego Maradona in creating The Traveler Maradona tribute cigar. At this year’s InterTabac, he launched a new ashtray and a cutter as a tribute to the late superstar.

“The ashtray is a reminder of the goal of the century from the World Cup in Mexico, 1986,” Lagos explains.

It depicts the path of his solo goal at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City in the quarter final against England.

“It comes in just 300 pieces,” he adds.

As does the cutter, which of course is in the shape of a football.

Besides the Maradona tribute accessories, The Traveler Cigars also introduces a travel humidor in leather which comes with four cigars, and a limited edition of their brand Bouncer, with a San Andrés wrapper.

“It has 100 percent Nicaraguan filler from Estelí, Jalapa and Condega, and we made 2,000 boxes.”
