Rocky Patel Premium Cigars (RPPC) is set to launch a new cigar line available solely on the international market. The new Rocky Patel Grand Reserve will debut at this week’s InterTabac Cigar Show in Dortmund, Germany, and will begin shipping to tobacconists outside the United States in October.
Rocky Patel Grand Reserve is the first international-only brand that RPPC has produced. “Our distribution abroad has seen extensive growth over the last 10 years, and we wanted to honor these worldwide business partnerships with an exclusive brand that international retailers can call their own,” said Mark Weissenberger, Vice President of Marketing for RPPC.
Rolled in Nicaragua, Grand Reserve features a rich blend of tobaccos aged for two years – a secret blend that Rocky is withholding. It will be available in three vitolas: Robusto (5 1⁄2 x 50), Toro (6 x 52), and Sixty (6 x 60), all retailing between approximately €9 and €11 per cigar and packaged in beautiful 10-count boxes.
Rocky Patel Grand Reserve began shipping to global distributors in mid-September. Tobacconists in Austria, Germany and the Netherlands will receive their shipments first, making landfall on retailer shelves by mid-October.
This past April, a private launch event was held in Sölden, Austria, called Mountain On Fire. There, 300 boxes of Grand Reserve Toros were unveiled at the special three-day luxury experience. Rocky Patel, President and CEO of RPPC, was in attendance with 120 guests from around the world, all celebrating the good life along with the launch of Grand Reserve.
“The reception to this unique brand was overwhelming,” said Rocky. “Everyone at Mountain On Fire enjoyed this balanced, elegant, medium-bodied cigar. And we sold out of all 300 boxes that weekend! We can’t wait for the rest of the world now to try it.”
